Cindy's solo exhibit "The Perfect Anomaly" at Christ Church Cathedral
in November, 2006 featured 49 paintings, Celtic compositions and
landscapes. An enthusiastic crowd of about 80 enjoyed the art along
with Irish music from Deep Green Pool, musicians from the Riley School
of Irish Music. Thanks to Lisa Koepke and all the wonderful people at
the cathedral for their support with this show."Contemporary American Celtic" , an exhibition organized by Cindy, traveled to the Madden Arts Center in Decatur, Illinois, Feb 2-28 and will also show in Chicago at the Irish American Heritage Center, March 2-25. This exhibit is based on the earlier show, "American Celtic" and it features Cindy with other well-known Celtic artists Jen Delyth, Patrick Gallagher, Steve O'Louglin and Kelly Kerin. Many thanks to Sue Powell and her staff at the Madden Center for the successful marketing and production of this show. Silver Arm, along with Kieran O'Hare, Liz Knowles, the McGing Irish Dancers and May Festival Chorus joines Erich Kunzel and the Cincinnati Pops for the summer 2004 version of "Celtic Spectacular" at Riverbend concert center. The band is also featured on a Pops CD of the same name.

Cindy has been busy doing Celtic Art classes for young and old recently. Here she is with children at the downtown Cincinnati Public Library. She also taught in Indianapolis, St. Louis and Virginia. Through Art Links, Cindy will be working with students and teachers at McKinley Elementary this year as an artist-in-residence.

Cindy and Steve completed a mural at the new Scottish restaurant, Nicholson's, located at 625 Walnut St. across from the Aronoff Center in December of 1997.The food is Scottish and the decor is exquisite. Also included in the decor are three large shields with Scottish quotations and Celtic knotwork painted by Cindy and Steve. Stop by for a look at the artwork and enjoy the taste of Scotland. 564-9111.

An exhibition of Celtic Art by Cindy Matyi and Kelly Kerin ran for six months in 2004 at the Irsh Cultural Heritage Center, Milwaukee, providing a colorful backdrop for many special events, concerts and classes. Cindy and Kelly also conducted a Celtic art workshop.

The Silver Arm lineup now includes guitarist and multi-instrumentalist John Sherman from Columbus. John brings a lifetime of experience and skill to the group. He has several solo recordings and continues to tour on his own as well as teach guitar.

Riley School of Irish Music Formed in January 1996 by Susan Cross, long-time member of Silver Arm, the mission of the Riley School is Irish traditional music education for students of all ages. It meets on Saturday mornings at Columbia Baptist Church in Columbia Tusculum. Private and small group lessons are available in fiddle, whistle, bodhrán, harp and other traditional instruments with Ceili Band and Grupa Cheoil providing ensemble playing experience.
